Planet Fitness
I have an account (membership number ROD0033) with Planet Fitness Claremont in Cape Town, with end date July 2013. However, during 2012, I travelled for two 3 month stints (one to Ghana, the other to Brazil), during which I asked the club to freeze my account, thus meaning my membership would expire around December 2013.
However, I found out that the club only processed one of the freezes, & so the club has said my contract ended on 4 October 2013. However, I have proof of the freeze request, as well as supporting document showing my e-ticket for my trip.
I would like my membership to be re-instated until the end of the year, as paying for a 3 year membership but not using it for half a year due to travel, & legally being entitled to freeze my contract (and having done so), I feel it is unfair that the sloppy admin has meant my request was not processed.
I would like Planet Fitness to resolve this ASAP, and to contact me (083 658 0835).
I have dealt with the Claremont Manager, Emerelda, who has repeatedly promised that Head Office would contact me. I have phoned over 4 times & no response. I'm unhappy, & unable to train & rehabilitate my injury. Alex Rodrigues
