On July 25th I got a phone call from Cherise from PF Aurora. (NB: she contacted me!) I told her I am not interested in a joining Aurora club as I live 2min from the Plattekloof Club. She told me that I could join at Aurora and then convert my membership to Plattekloof. As easy as that! I asked her what the catch was, since it was a good deal. She assured me there was no catch. Conversion to Plattekloof could be done with no extra fees! I signed the contract and paid R444 upfront
I was told I would be contacted when membership was confirmed and conversion to Plattekloof had occurred. For the past 9 WEEKS I phoned THEM regularly just to hear that "Head office is taking long to approve".
Last time I phoned I hear Cherise has resigned and nobody can help me or knows what is going on with my contract!! I don't know whether the contract has been approved or whether money will be debited from my account, even though I never used the facilities. Meanwhile I joined Plattefklood club as I have been waiting for more than two months and no gym membership! But I still don't know whether the Aurora contract has been cancelled and whether I will ever get my money back!!!
