My friend and I went to this gym to check it out. A sales person took us through an admin process filing out my details. I did ask him why we are completing all the details on the system (that took a whole hour to complete) when I have not made up my mind that I will certainly be joining planet fitness. He said that was the procedure however since I had not signed the hard copies yet, there will be nothing actioned. I went to another gym and was impressed the minute I walked into the door and decided to sign up with them, with July being a free month. I checked with them they did not debit my account. I went back to the sales person and told him that I will not be signing up with Planet Fitness. I did not give him the hard copies he had given me to sign. Even if I had signed the document, I still had the right to cancel that. To my surprise last week my bank was debited with an amount of R829, in absence of me having signed or agreed to join this gym. I called the sales person and he said he stopped the application and does not know what happened. This angers me since he is a representative of planet fitness and should sort it out but instead he referred me to another.
