I joined virgin active in Jan of Feb, I then called them in May and asked them that I would like to cancel they told me about a cancellation fee of R130. because its less than a year of the contract I understood and started paying it and the account was frozen. on the 30-07-2013 I called to ask as to when does the R130 stop because it was a cancellation fee and I no longer use the account. I was told that the contract was for two years and that the freezing of the account will be for 6 months after that it will be activated again of which then the normal R519 will be going off again, I will have the option to freezze it but it cannot be cancelled before the Two years expires. I really do not understand this as it was not disclosed from the begining. Now I have to pay for things that i am really not interested in with money that I do not have.
