When the gym first opened we were charged a 13th and 14th payment/year to replace equipment. Nothing has been replaced in the 3 years that I have been there. The equipment is always out of order. instead of fixing things they just remove it from the floor. Especially cardio equipment. There is a generator in parking area, but when the power goes out the gym closes. The one time a woman complained about tripping in the dark while leaving the gym after a power failure. She said that Virgin Actives have emergency lighting. The instructor simply said "then go to Virgin Active". I would love to, but Witbank doesn't have one. The latest brilliant idea that management conjured up is to rent out the pool between 5 and 7 pm. Everybody goes from work to gym at 7? So now what must I do? What must all the other swimmers (who pay full membership fee to use the pool) do? When must we swim? Can I request a portion, if not all, my membership fees back now? The only reason why I signed up with this gym was for the pool.
Another thing worth mentioning is that the gym is cracking all over (huge cracks) and the change rooms, toilets are filthy.
This is the worst gym in existence.
