My son & his girlfriend received a Phillips Avent manual breast pump as a gift at their babyshower from my niece who is visiting from Panama; but they had already bought one; which they explained to my niece; she told them that she had bought it from Pick n Pay Steeldale & would look for the receipt so that they can return it & use the refund for whatever else the baby needed as the value of the item is R829. We couldn't find the POP & with no receipt Pick n Pay refused to even after 4 visits to the returns department; with 3 different staff members; 4 phone calls & a conversation with the Manager. My niece returned home to Panama only to find the receipt will unpacking; she scanned & e-mailed it to me; i returned to Pick n Pay & again explained the situation to another lady now with a copy of POP; no luck!! Given the item is R829 in value & the fact that it was an un-needed gift; the gift is from a foreigner & i at least have a copy of POP; this is unacceptable service as i think there are at least some special circumstances here!!! Disappointed; very disappointed!!!
