Not willing to refund iPad Purchases

I was very disappointed with the way the manager (Shawn) handled a request for a refund on 11 Aug. On 6 Aug, a family friend purchased an iPad Mini 16Gb Wifi for us at the Hyper Prospect store (Durban) as a gift. I wanted to change this for a higher spec device and took it to Norwood (as I live in Jhb). The device has not been opened - I took a copy of the receipt and guarantee which shows serial number, etc. After waiting about 25-30 mins, the Shawn came by to approve refund. First, he said the device has been marked down and he can't give me the full refund (untrue). Then, he said his store doesn't stock this model so he cant do anything (which I find hard to believe). He would not even discuss this further and said "I don't know what you're going to do - I can't help you". He also said that the KZn and Gauteng are completely separate in terms of procurement and they don't keep the same product lines (really?) I find it unacceptable that Pick N Pay do not honor returns nationally unlike all your competitors. Also, find the manager unfriendly and evasive. Am willing to share smartshopper nr to prove how much I've spent at Norwood historically - but will go elsewhere now
