In August 2013, I received gifts from Mr. Price Home for my baby shower. I decided to return the duplicates that I received. The cashier explained that she would put the credit on a gift card for me to use at a later stage. As the cashier tried to load the gift card, there was some complication. I remember asking her if the money loaded and what would happen if the card showed no limit whenever I wanted to purchase something for my baby. She assured me it was loaded and said I should keep the slip.
I have not done a lot of shopping after my baby's birth. In December I wanted to buy something for my baby with the gift card, but there was no credit on the card. One of the cashiers took the gift card.
The next day, I returned with the receipt of the gift card (docket:7066-5 5712 / card no:0197081961) and asked to speak to the manager. She checked and confirmed that there was no credit on the card. She also said that there was nothing they could do for me.
I never used the gift card and was very upset because I lost R250 that was given to me by friends to use for my baby. This after I checked with the cashier what would happen if the credit did not show on my card.
