Unable to close or re-open existing account

I called the accounts department a number of times to try and close my account. I went into the store as well. They told me they were unable to close the account because there was a credit on the account. I could not purchase using this credit as the account was with the debt review department. I then called the accounts department again and was informed that I could not close the account due to the credit on the account, but they would issue me with a new card. Gave me a sequence number for the card and was told it would take 10 days to receive the card.

i have now gone into the store to find out about the card. They called accounts and was told that a card cannot be issued because the account is still with the debt review department.

I am now tired of trying to get this sorted and want the account closed. I do not care about the credit on the account. I have spent much more money on my cell phone trying to get this resolved.
