Manager with bad attitude when enquiring a return

I bought a dress that was on sale, on the day of the sale and I didnt realise that the dress has a stain it was only when i got home and i looked at the dress, and unfortunately it didnt fit the person that i bought it for. So upon returning the dress the refused to take it because of the stain which I bought it with. When they called the store manager who had an attitude and didnt have time to attend to my query I had to call him and asked him to attend to this query instead of throwing one word answers and leaving me hanging. they refused to take the dress back, and asked me to take the dress for quality checking which didnt make sense to me because if they refused to take the dress on face value whats the quality check going to do?

I laid a complain with head office regarding the manager and the dress issue, and they never got back to me, until i called them which was after thier 48 day window had passed, and they are still telling me about the quality check, i dont see how is that going to help me because the dress was rejected by the shop. i'm very dissapointed and to think that i got the dress in that condition from them.
