I required assistance with a repair to an item that is no longer available in stores. Joan offered to try to get it repaired (at no cost to me). Unfortunately there was a problem with the nature of the repairs and since the item had been discontinued, I was offered store credit to the value of the item.
My compliment is not just with respect to the service but to the attitude and effort put in by the store manager, Joan. I have written this review because this has been my 3rd dealing with Joan in 5 years and she has always reacted with the same helpful approach. I actually live much closer to the Sandton City branch but was so appalled by the treatment I received by that store manager (she yelled at me in front of a store full of customers when I refused to pay for a service they performed without my knowledge or permission) that I vowed never to shop at the Sandton branch again.
I will now always drive to the Eastgate branch and will gladly support Joan and her staff instead. The Carrol Boyes brand should be proud to have Joan representing them.
