This morining I went to Midas Silver Oaks to enquire about a Diesel Filter on my Corsa because, but I'm a young woman with no knowledge of mechanics. The gentleman at the counter said that he is unsure which filter my car takes because you get a on and a cartridge one, therefore I left the shop. I then phoned Midas Menlyn and asked if they perhaps knew which filter my car takes and if they have any stock. Their sales consultant bluntly said that their system doesn't show which type of filter it could possibly be because there are 3 different ones listed. The consultant then referred me to Gold Wagen in Moreletta Park and said I should go their because they give good service and their system are more complete and gives all the info, he also mentioned that the part might even be cheaper if I go there. So I did exactly that! I phoned GW and the friendliest consultant Shortie said that they also don't have the details but I must bring my car and he'll have a look. I went to GW and the guy literally just opened the bonnet for 5 seconds and was able to tell me I needed the on filter which they had in stock for R25 cheaper than Midas. That is real service GM! Shame on Midas!
