This morning at 10.30am I rushed out to Checkers to get the final items for Easter lunch.
I bought a fairview Brie for snacks before lunch. I opened the brie at 12.30 and saw that it was completely brown. I checked the sell by date, only to notice that the cheese was 8 days past the sell by date. I called the store to complain, to hear that its not such a big deal and i could just come back and exchange it... with my three kids, 10 minutes before guests are to arrive.
Unlike the store, as a customer I do feel that quality control is a big deal. how many expired products have I bought there before. And if the store manager is so unphased by the issue how many expired items have you sold? Her resolution is to go without it and whenever I get a chance, i must bring the item back. My suggestion is to rather put fresh product on the shelf and invest in some customer service.
I am utterly disappointed.
