On 4/3/2013 I bought a white Defy 350L Freezer via Mr Launce Burger. Verbal Promise/Agreement: Due to the fact that they only have a silver Defy 350L Freezer in store and have to order a white freezer; delivery at my door in Vanrhynsdorp will be within 7 - 10 days, and regular telephonic progress reports. I had no reason to question either Mr Burger's and/or the Store Manager's integrity and therefor as per agreement I paid R6189-90 cash for the ordered item on 6/3/2013. (I made arrangements with friends to borrow their private mini camping freezer to over-bridge the immediate need according to the above-mentioned agreement).

3 WEEKS LATER: I am still awaiting the freezer and nothing came from the promises made to me as client!

I have to visit the store each week and phone them regularly as I did not receive any progress information as promised. The trips (40km return) as well as the telephone calls is costing me unnecessary money from my pension fund. The attitude of the store manager is unbecoming and Russells are not keeping word and mistreat the elderly.

I kindly request that Russells' Head Office immediately intervine and resolve the matter within the next 48hours.
