My wife bought me a circular saw at Makro. The sales person gave her a markdown saw for R549 (Ryobi 1500 Watt with a lazer with no box).
When I saw the saw there was no button on top by the handle and also no key to loosen the blade. We went back to the same Makro to get the rest of the stuff that is suppose to be there. We spoke to the people at returns they said they will refund us then we can get another 1.There was no more stock left of that same product. We spoke to the Manager of that department and she said it was a mark down saw so we cannot get the same saw for that price but what we can do is book it in for repairs wait a couple of weeks and will get it back in working condition. The person that helped us to book it in for repairs even said when it returns it will be 100% complete with a box and user manuel the works.5 - 6 weeks later we were notified its fix and we can come and collect it. On arrival the saw was even in a worse condition (button was replaced but handle cracked etc) We were "forced"to take a smaller 1 for R999.The price tag was wrong saw is 1200 watt not 1500 watt as displayed. Still no stock of original saw only R100 discount. So paid R300 more for smaller saw
