More or less 4 weeks ago on a Thursday went for shopping in Odendaalsrus. Love shopping there. I purchased Surprise rice which was no longer a Surprize. I could only get the 2kg packets and bought 2 bags. On Saturday I opened the first packet and saw the grains much smaller than ever. When the rice was done it looked like Chinese rice, not loose like before but also more like couscous soppy rice or bird/chicken feed.
Even my family complaint about my rice. I was upset because I changed over from Tastic a few years ago to Surprise Rice. Is this how their money is being made by selling inferior products to the public. This is disgusting to see how people are being conned and I have not been back to Pick 'n Pay in Odendaalsrus due to traveling from Welkom to do my shopping in Odendaalsrus at Pick 'n pay. Tiger Brands should look into this matter because not everybody are fools and me, a rice lover picked up the difference straight away. I am no longer a Surprise rice fan and might aswell buy any other no name Brand and who knows I might get closer to the old time Long Grain rice that was no SURPRIZE or go back to Tastic.
