Went into the Les Marais Spar this morning as I usually do. I must mention I am often met by rather reluctant managers who dont care much to help out if you are chocolate skinned like me. And often if they finally help, they assume you speak afrikaans (hello its 2013- we have 11 official languages now!)
However, I was met by a certain David today who really went out of his way when I was delayed by a customer infront of me. He carrried my basket to the next teller, unpacked my items on the till and asked the teller to smile (and spoke to me in Zulu). I really appreciated that as this is not the kind of experience i usually get at this Spar
