On Sunday evening 21/04/13 around 5.30pm my husband and I popped into Spar Knowles for a few items. We saw the SPAR milk on Special and the sign directly above the SPAR 2litre milk cartons clearly stated SPAR MILK R15.99. We always look for the specials on milk and so we took a 2litre SPAR Milk carton. Along with other items we got to the tills. When the teller rang up the milk it was R17.99 so I told her its on special. She sent the packer to get the supervisor who took a very slow stroll across and my husband was standing at the sign above the milk which clearly said R15.99 for SPAR 2litre milk. They insisted and were adamant that it wasn't on special. They eventually said no they will go call the manager. I could see them all talking to the manager other end of the store, who never even bothered to come over and see it to. This all took about 3-5 minutes eventually my husband and I paid the R17.99 and walked out coz clearly they were not going to do anything about it. The principle is the service is disgusting, I am not going to fight over a mere R2 but if SPAR management had any decency the lazy manager would have sorted it out. This kind of attitude / service is a disgrace.
