Refuse to refund me back with an attitude

I bought a Russel Hobb kettle 29/10/2012 and now the kettle is giving my problems. Last Saturday I went to Gugulethu Mall Shoprite to return the kettle. Bulelwa assisted me by checking the problem and she wanted to give me a new Russel Hobb kettle but I said I don't want Russel Hobb. I said I want a refund she went and asked the Maxwell Mjamela. She came back and told me that I will not going to get my money back because is it more than two weeks, it is what Mr Mjamela told her. I asked to speak to him and he told me the same thing. And he was very rude and he refuse to give me shoprite head office email address. I said to him if is you policy show me the policy because it is not written anywhere. I am not happy about it because I did not return a kettle just for fun. I returned the kettle because it is faulty. He was not helpful at all. I had to go back home with a faulty kettle. I don't think I will ever shop in that store again. it was my first time buying a electrical appliance at shoprite. i used to buy electrical appliance to other stores but i never receive such service. Other stores use to credit the appliance and receive refund or buy something else.
