Insured cellphone not insured in the system

I bought a cellphone last year a black berry 8520 being assistenced by Mduduzi a bright and tall guy.i insured it and he ticked on the slip as my every phone i bought at Edgars is insured, then i lost ma cellphone last year on the 1st of june on a texi coming from work.i did every prosidure as i was told.they told me to come after a week with a r150.after a week it was on the 10th of june i went back and i was told my phone wasn't insured but the slip shows that the phone was insured.i asked to see the manager and he never gave me a chance to explain.even now i never recovered the phone.please help
