Money down the drain

In 2009, I bought a cellphone on account from Edgars City and the phone was insured. I was mugged and put in a claim for a replacement phone, and the claim was approve so I took the same model phone on the 24 November 2009. This year, 2013, I got mugged again and so I put in another claim. i had been paying a monthly premium of R40 for the phone. The claim was rejected on the basis that my phone was not insured and was told only the one that was taken in 2009 was insured even though it was lost many years ago. So now they are refusing to give me a phone and told me that it was the "system's fault that my insurance cover was not updated back then. They have said that they will refund me my premiums for the past three years but have only refunded a measly R312 into my account. Every time I call customer service I am put on hold for days on end and seems as though nobody is dealing with my query. For two solid weeks I have been calling because I was told the matter will take five days to resolve and nobody from Edcon is calling me back. I feel like I have been taken advantage of and have been throwing my hard earned money down the drain. I wish they could at least attend to my matter.
