I've just had a very disappointing experience with Mr Price Home in Northgate. I went to buy a new dinner service and found just the one I wanted on their specials shelf. The special claimed that you could buy 4 and get 2 free - very cool! After I had spent about half an hour choosing 12 plates, side plates, bowls and cups that didn't have flaws or chips, I happily went to the tills to pay only to be told that these plates weren't included in the special! There were about 5 or 6 shelves of crockery on one stand. There were specials banners on 2 of the shelves and an advertising banner on the third. Because the plates I had chosen were on a shelf that didn't have a banner, I was told that they weren't included. Since when do you put specials banners on a set of shelves and don't meant to include the whole shelf - especially when the crockery is all mixed around and the banners are on shelves separated by a shelf without a banner? I am very disappointed and feel that this is bordering on! Left without purchasing the crockery and very bad taste in my mouth! And of course the staff were quite unhelpful and rude - apparently this is how Mr Price does their merchandising!
