MISLEADING THE PUBLIC

I went to the Pietermaritzburg Central Store on Wednesday 24 July 2013, as I noticed there was upto less 75% sale on selected items. On the one shelf in the store was a banner which was clearly marked upto 75% less on MARKED PRICES. I took items off this shelf and when I went to pay I queried this with the cashier before paying and she said oh no they already marked down, i told her but then you misleading the public by your advertising, and she acknowledged that it is confusing. I as a consumer actually had a right to demand the products at a further reduced price as this is what was stated on that shelf. I am rather upset with your store's false advertising. why advertise and dont keep to that policy. If is was on original price why cant your store then stipulate this. but marked price to me means the current price on that item. This is really not acceptable.
