My mother was left absolutely distraught and traumatised after her experience of shopping at the Stuttafords branch in Gateway Durban. Complaint 1 - No assistamce in aisle- my mother, being a regular customer at Stuttafords, was forced to lift boxes of glassware which she was going to purchase, the assistant offered no help whatsoever, damages were caused as my mother, being old as well as inffecient packing of glassware in the section and was not assisted by the packer. From no one being in the aisle to assit her- 5 other workers then surrounded her and she was hounded by a coloured lady who is the manager. My mother was left absolutely traumatised by this incident and just to avoid further problems just payed for the damages as the manager had caused immense stress and grief. Being an old customer we question ourselves WHY do we still come to your franchise- there is no longer any customer service plus inneficient staff. Money is not an issue and we don't mind paying for the damages but the manner in which we were treated is utterly and totally disgusting.
