I purchased a pair of black and white tie dye leggings from Ska in Tableview- I wore the leggings once on the Sunday of Origin Festival- the leggings were falling down so I pulled them up. It tore a huge hole in the fabric. I noticed that the fabric felt very fragile and worn out and hard in certain areas. A friend that specialises in tie dye informed me that it looks as though the leggings wehre dyed with bleach. And that is why they have ripped. I made a mental note to stitch them, until the leggings started tearing everywhere else! I took them off immediately! And washed them in cold water- the dye ran quite a bit.
On the Monday I called the store where I bought them and the assistant told me to bring them in to send it to head office. I brought the leggings in on the Trhursday-
And only got a response a week later.
I was told that I had spilt coffee I the leggings and that I was negligent with them so they will stitch them for me.
With all do respect, I paid R220 for the leggings. I have cheaper leggings that I have worn for longer than an afternoon- months in fact that were cheaper in price and have lasted through rain, shine and mud.
I want a new pair or money back.
