I would really appreciate it if the packers and cashiers at Pick 'n Pay Gordon's Bay would pack my shopping in more than one bag when neccesary. It's happened over and over that I get to the till with two or three green bags, and they cram everything into one. Or I ask them to give me extra plastic bags if everything doesn't fit into one, or if I have both heavy items and breakable ones (e.g. cooldrink/cans/catfood and bread/chips) but they just stuff everything into one. This morning I specifically asked for two plastic bags, but they continued to pack all of the following into ONE 24litre bag:
a 2 litre bottle of cooldrink
a 1, 44kg bag of onions
a 500ml kitchen cleaner refill
a 700g loaf of bread
2 125g bags of potato chips
a 150g bag of pretzels
a 180g slab of chocolate
a packet of sweetener tablets
a chocolate heart lollipop
Usually by the time I get to my car, my bread is squashed and my chips are crumbs.
Perhaps if employees weren't so busy chatting to each other, they could actually concentrate on doing their jobs properly.
