I receive vouchers from Truworths and every few months which states, purchase over R350 and receive R100 off, which I do utilise all the time.
The voucher clearly states get R100 of a purchase if you purchase for R350 or more and does not state it will divided amongst your purchase.
On Sunday the 3 February 2013 I was in a bit of a hurry so my wife did not have time to try on the dress she wanted, so I told her take the two sizes you can try it on at home and we will return the item that does not fit. So she took two dresses one 34 and one 32 each at the purchase price of R380 and then used my R100 voucher.
This weekend I went to return the size 34 as it was to large and I was shocked that of my voucher Truworths was adding R50 back to my account saying the voucher was split amongst the purchase therefore you cannot get the full R100 off as stated, so basically truworths was adding the R50 to my account which is a breach of what was specified in the voucher. As it specified get R100 of a purchase of R350 or more and here I am only getting R50.
I then returned both the items and told them you can keep the R50 as this is just not on.
