Comprehensive Insurance Claim

Few weeks ago I went to the Woollies branch at Lochlogan Bloem Waterfront, customer services in order to claim my comprehensive insurance due to retrenchment. First the lady who helped me had no clue about how to start the claim process. Eventually after she asked somebody else she asked me to fax various docs to Woolies CT. I did that..I did not hear from them..I went back to the branch, where a lovely, corteous lady by the name of Vivianne helped me to find out what was going on. Eventually she passed me the CT consultant over the phone who told me that I couldnt claim cause the policy t/c states that the claim can be made within 6 months from retrenchment. I was over that time frame unfortunately. My point is why the first lady didnt tell me that after I spent plenty of money to fax all those requested docs?? Why I kept on paying the useless policy every month when I could not claim??? I will carry on paying my account but that's it.
Woolies is equal to overpriced goods and an average squalid customer service.
