Edgars refuses to close my account

I paid off my account last year November but Edgars refuses to close the account. What I got a paid up which shows that the account is still active. I don't know what they want cause I told them to close the account and remove me from their database. Can someone advise as to what I must do cause they actually forcing me to have an account with them since they cannot write a letter that confirms that the account is closed.
