Bsolutely shoddy and pathetic service!! Online shopping for Edgars was open during lockdown, NO notice saying that online shopping will only be "dealt with" after lockdown. Only in confirmation email was it stated - this is sent after your order is complete! Order done 22 April for winter clothes for my so (18 months) ..... NO communication from Edgars until Wednesday 06 May after I had to phone, hold on for NO less than 30mins at a time. Got email adress for 2 managers Patricia Brown & Cynthia Chetty Up to date, NO response on email sent 07 May to both managers! Eventually I got a call, informing me that there is a massive backlog due to Covid-19 lockdown. Later the afternoon I got a call, telling me that most of the clothes I ordered are out of stock, they will let me k ow the Friday 08 May how long it will take to source the items, but I can cancel the order and request a refund. I got an email on Friday confirming the call and the out of stock items. I responded, requesting the order to be canceled and a refund to be done. Monday morning 11 May - NO response on email. I sent another mail asking confirmation of receipt of my email. Monday afternoon - STILL NO answer on the email sent. I sent yet another email.... Tuesday 12 May - STILL NO RESPONSE I phoned @ 15:24 just to get told that all of a sudden now that department of Edgars are closed.... Seriously, close a department and not even communicate to customers. What happens to the huge backlog in orders? They do not answer all or emails? What do you stand to do? When do you get your refund, not to even mention the clothes ordered. Edgars might as well close down completely, with service like this, I will NEVER buy from ANY Edgars or related store! It is pathetic to say the least!
