Excellent Customer Service

I had to return a television within one year from date of purchase. The television presented problems. I was unfortunately not in possession of the proof of purchase to support the return. I requested same from my bank and to date am still waiting. Faraaz from the Hypermarket store at Harbour Crossing assisted by requesting the point of sale from their Cape Town Branch and was able to provide same. The item could not be repaired and I was informed that I will receive a refund but they require all accessories that was provided with the purchase i.e a free DVD player was to be returned as well before considering the refund. I felt that this was not the correct practice as the DVD player was in working condition and it was introduced as a package at the time of purchase. I was returning the television and not the DVD. A call to Earl from the Head Office in Durban, yielded much success. Whilst on the line, he contacted the branch and subsequently informed me the matter will be resolved. Such was resolved without any delay. To these two employees of Pick and Pay, you have indeed gone the extra mile and your customer service does not go unnoticed. Thank you!!!
