I purchased a brand new samsung FHD LCD television in December of 2011. 1 year, 3 months later, the television decided not to switch on at all. Taking into consideration that I have looked after this television and hardly used it on a daily basis as I work a full day Monday to friday, television was well looked after as I had purchased a cover for the television as well and read samsung's guide to cleaning and maintaining the television utilising the clothe they provided. Nonetheless, upon returning the television to Makro ottery on the 25 March 2013, the sales rep of samsung (Lebo - makro ottery) advised me not to worry as he will contact Kiera (regional sales manager) to have the television repaired without costs. It has now been 3 months and 6 days, and I have not heard a single word from samsung, I was not even made aware as to what the problem is with my television. I have contacted numerous individuals including, Eben (sales manager in Joburg), Sherwin Mark Naido, Patrick Khuny (sales manager) as well as there service department at head-office. Each of these individuals have mentioned that they will contact me as per my request and not a single one of them have done so.
