REFUSAL TO REPLACE/ REFUND FAULTY SINOTEC

On 29 November 2013 I purchased a 50 inch sinotec, on the 1 January 2014 the screen started blacking out intermittently although the sound remained. On the 2 Jan I was told to wait 10 days for a diagnostic evaluation. On the 15 Jan. I received a call stating that no fault was found, I went in personally into the store on the 17 January to be told by the department manager he would attempt negotiating with the supplier for a refund or replacement. On the 23 Jan. I was told to pick up my tv. A call to Jay, marketing manager was in vain - he did not call me back as promised. On 25 Jan. attempts for redress matter in store failed. Very disappointed as tv was faulty but makro refuses to acknowledge this. A return trip to makro is 80kms, I made 3 costly trips to solve this problem. CPA clearly states I have 6 months to get a refund/ replacement if goods are defective, don't think a diagnostic conducted by the manufacturer is objective, the tv could have been repaired. The staff have been unhelpful and lay blame fully on the supplier, my transaction was with Makro, they are accountable if merchandise is defective. Frustrated as I have spent R6400 on a faulty tv.
