My daughter bought her husband's wedding ring at Andara, a jewellery shop at Canal Walk, Cape Town. Before they bought it, she also showed me the ring at the beautiful shop. We discussed the ring with the shop assistant and learned that it was a base metal plated in white gold. At no time were we warned that the ring would not last a lifetime. The shop assistant packed it into a box and a beautiful Andara bag. To cut a long story short, the ring did not even last ten days! By the time they came back from their honeymoon it was an awful copper colour. They went back to Andara and was told that a ring like that only lasts about 14 days and that they should have returned it within 2 days after purchase if they were unhappy, which does not make any sense at all. They did not even get their money back! Please don't be fooled by the beautiful shop decor, Andara acted shamelessly! Rather buy somewhere else if you don't want to go through a similar very painful, embarrassing experience.
