I go to Checkers Cobble walk quite regularly and staff and management are truly unfriendly and unhelpful.
Cashiers and packers NEVER smile or greet you. They stand around in groups chatting and don't pay any attention to the customer. At the desk where you buy electricity as well, they make you feel like you are doing them a favour.
I wanted draw money at the cashier yesterday because the ATM's outside where out of order. I had to draw R1200, the cashier was not happy about that at all and started speaking to other staff in their language. I apologised about the inconvenience but was just told that I had to go to another cashier. The current on then took my card and walked off.
If the staff you have are not interested in being there then please get new staff. A smile and a friendly welcome does go a long way. This includes your managers who also stand around while staff are bundling together and chatting.
