On Thursday 23rd January I went to Edgars Active Store @ Boulders shopping centre. I was handed a pamphlet that clearly states 75% off All Pro Action sandals, footwear and apparel (which i still have). This promotion according to the pamphlet runs from 23 to 28th January. I bought Pro Action goods that day, and paid 75% off the normal price.
I returned to the store on Monday 27th Jan to purchase more of the same goods I bought 4 days ago. When I got to the till, I was surprised to find out that the promotion was over. I explained to the sales attendant that according to the pamphlet the sales ends on 28th January, but she refused to help. She then called the manager of the store Lindiwe Molete, Lindiwe said to me that the stock had run out - therefore the promotion ended. How can this be if I am holding the same stock in my hand. According to the pamphlet I received in the store, there is no mention of 'while stocks last'! Which is irrespective because there is indeed stock. After an aggravating 15 minutes of trying to explain why I should receive the discount I just left the store without buying anything... As Lindiwe kept repeating 'I'm sorry but I cannot help you.'
