I went into the McCullagh and Bothwell store in Hyde Park this morning to buy a pair of Froggie school shoes for my daughter. I produced the advertisement from "The Child" magazine to the sales person to request the shoe I required. He brought back, on two occasions something different to the picture I had presented and tried to convince me that the shoe was the same as I had required. I queried as to the process of how to obtain the particular shoe I required and I was shocked at the response from the Manager of the store. He indicated to the sales person out loudly that they do not stock or would not sell this shoe and made no attempt to address me about the issue. Just a note that I would like to pass on to the owner. It does not take much to be more courteous to your customers even though you may not need the business. I had a great end to the day though, as I found the shoe at the McCullagh and Bothwell store in Fourways Crossing.
