I bought a friend a fine bracelet in February which I insured with Sterns (as per the recommendation of the saleslady).
The bracelet compromises of three chains attached to one connector point/clip. About a month ago, one of the chains came loose (at the connection point/clip thing).
I took it in as it is apparent it's a workmanship problem - even the staff at Golden Acre Sterns agreed it was. This morning I received a call to inform me that I have to pay 50% the cost of the bracelet to have it fixed!
Like WTH?! What is the point of the insurance then?
For such a cheap item, I am utterly disgusted & horrified.
