No responsibility for poor quality products

I was given an Aluma Wallet for Christmas. I was extremely happy to get one because i had heard about all of the great advantages it has such as being water resistant and "Crush Resistant". Happy to use the wallet i took it with me the next day (Boxing Day) to go shopping and realised that the hinge of the wallet was broken. I was incredibly disappointed. I decided to then simply ask the person who gave it to me for Christmas to ask them to replace it which they did on 27 December 2013. The person at the Glen said that since the wallet was purchased on 19 December 2013 that they would not replace it and that there was nothing we can do except call head office. We refused and said he must please contact head office and sort the problem out and get back to us. We are still waiting and i am absolutely disappointed and shocked at firstly the poor quality of the "Crush Resistant" Aluma Wallet as well as the complete lack of care that the product was damaged a day after use. This is most upsetting and disappointing as throughout the years i have always trusted Homemark.
