Staff makes me feel uncomfortable

I always feel like I have to apologise to each staff member when I ask them a question or request something behind a counter. I try and avoid buying things that need to be weighed sometimes because I'm scared of the negative and rude reception that I get from the majority of the staff that work here. I understand that it is the end of the festive season and everyone is tired but Bridget who served me at the bakery was unnecessarily rude. I waited a long time to get served around lunch time today. When asked the price of the cake slice (the price was not displayed), she rolled her eyes and reluctantly went to check it. When I decided against getting the slice (which she hadn't lifted from the tray yet), she glared at me angrily as though I wasted hours of her life. I apologised sarcastically to her for the inconvenience and she stormed off very agitated. I shop at the Waterfront Pick 'n Pay more frequently and the shift hours are longer and it seems far busier than this store and people, although tired treat their customers as fellow human beings and not oppressors of some strange kind. There are of course exceptions and not all the staff are rude. I'll try and avoid shopping there
