I phoned Crossing Superspar this morning to try find out about their sushi platter - no one could answer my basic questions - i wanted to know what type of sushi was in the platter. At one point there was a lady who was telling me the sushi had guacamole in it. Their pamphlet says that the best sushi chefs in town make the sushi in their platters, and I have had sushi at the Grove susperspar and it was amazing... DEFINITELY not the case with this spar. False advertising.
The sushi tasted like it was made a week before and frozen. The rice was rock hard and the sushi fell apart with the rice falling away from the "fish" like a solid wall. It was disgusting but we had to eat it as we live 20kms out of town and it was my mom's birthday dinner. We each got through 3 pieces then it was just too disgusting. I've had day old sushi before... this was not it. This was OLD. I am extremely dissapointed and angry at spar because my mom was really looking forward to her sushi birthday dinner and it was a dismal dissapointment.
