I have an account with Edgars and was a deligent payer, i also had a protection plan on my account.i had been retrenched and despite me giving Edgars all the documents they require they could not cover the account, giving me all sorts of excuses which i have lost hope in arguing and come to accept. Now they have handed me over to the legal department, even though they know i had been retrenched and have been trying to have my account sorted. I have since made an arrangement to pay R500 per month on my account which i have been doing diligently BUT i do not use the account, WHY am i still being charged intrest on this account still, is Edgars trying to make more money from there clients by charging instrest despite the protection plan they have which is of no benefit for the client. If i am not using the account and am trying to pay my acount which i am making payment every month, why am i being charged intrest, how is a person surpose to free there account.
