Bad kic fridge and service

After having purchased a kic 346lt fridge/freezer, I have had to have it replaced 4 times with each unit having a different fault than the first. I would like to know if Whirlpool South Africa is supplying new units, or refurbished units. I have incurred food loss with each of these defective units and was compensated only once for the loss. In our current economic climate each loss has caused a significant whole in my pocket. It is sad that yet again it's the lowly consumer who has to foot the bill through the incompetence of others.
