On the 30/11/2013 I bought a car batttery from Midway Midas. The battery only worked that weekend. When I tried to start my car a week later, it was completely dead. I had to rely on car boosts since.

This morning, I took the battery for testing at battery and was told that it was dead. I called your Randburg branch which is closer to where I stay and I was told that I need to take the battery at the store where I bought it. Fair enough, I called your Midway and spoke to the manager, Shaun. I explained to him that I bought a battery from his store but unfotunately had misplaced by receipt. He advised me that there was nothing he could do as he needs the receipt to validate the transaction. I told him that I was willing to produce my bank statement as I had used my ATM card for the purchase. When I purchased the battery the security guard engaraved a code on the battery and also made a note on a book.

Surely, this information should be sufficient for a replacement. I am really disappointed at the kind of service I received from your branch. I am not asking for a refund but a working battery, surely that should be too much. After all, I did pay for it.
