I purchased a shoe on the 12th December 2013, subsequently I realized it was not
was not suitable. I decided to return the shoe on 17th December 2013-4days later!
I was told that I will not get my cash back, but instead will be given a voucher.
I did not agree with their decision as I was not notified of this policy when I purchased the shoe, and further with reference to the credit act I, the consumer is entitled to their cash back within 30 days for non-defective goods.
At this store there is a notice display on the wall that all sale items cannot be returned for cashback
There is also a notice displaying that no returns will be processed without a invoice. Obviously this means that goods can be returned. My shoe is not a sale item.
Further it was noted that price tag on my display stated the shoe as being R800 however I was charged R825.
