The supermarket chain advertised a promotion of a product, yet the first day of the promotion there was no stock available. Upon requesting a rain check, the Store Manager was heard to say that the promotion lasts two weeks and I can come back within that time. The promotion started on 02/12/2013. I was there on the first day as well as on 08/12/2013. On 08/12/2013 I was finally given the rain check. I attended at the store again on 17/12/2013 and yet again, there was no stock. The store manager then blamed the supplier. that the supplier had no stock. i blame Shoprite. How do you advertise a product and have no stock at hand? This is utterly ludicrous. When and how am i now supposed to cash the rain check? not only that, i lose out on petrol because i have to attend at the store on the "chance" that stock might be available. i dont shop every week and having to attend at the store on a weekly basis is not only cost consuming but also inconvenient and time consuming. i have never been more disappointed in a store than I am with this Shoprite.
