Incompetent employee

My mom went to the store to try and change her interest plan to six months instead of the 12 months interest charge. The employee she found there said there was no such thing, just 12 months. How is that possible? i just spoke to a consultant on the phone and she explained that there is such an option. The employee at jet Palm Springs needs to be reprimanded in some way for lying to the customers.
