Unauthorised Debit Orde

I don't know what's wrong with our banking system. It looks like it might be easier and safer to keep our money under the mattress.
I was debited by Golden Direct Marketing and my every effort to contact them has been futile.
I work long hours and I am unable to go to the bank to reverse the amount taken by these, and each time I call them, the number rings and goes to voice-mail.
I blame our banks for not protecting our interests. They give authority to any Tom, and Harry who claims to be in business with us.
We are in a flawed system, that keeps us in debt because our banks clearly don't have our "backs"
We obviously have crooked people working these. It's always some arb company from Durban with a land-line and a cell number.
These people never respond and now I have to be inconvenienced into going into a bank to reverse said debit order.
