I wonder how much extra money pick n pay does on a daily basis by their customers, people that actually keep them in business. Within 4 days I experienced 2 incidents at different pick n pays where they advertised a certain price on their shelf and when you pay it's a couple of rands more and as most of us don't have time to check every single item price at the till we pay and move on. On Friday 13 December I purchased globes amongst other items advertised at 39.99 and only when I got home saw was charged 44.99. Monday 16 December I wanted to purchase blind cleaner marked at 24.99 and at the till it rang for 39.99. When I told the cashier the amount that it was advertised and she did not even call the manager to check the price and just credited the item. This made me realise that this happens often so they not even willing to correct their system and to make extra money by people. This is totally disgusting and will never go back to any pick n pay. I will also urge others about what has happened as people are entitled to know of dishonest trade practice.
