I purchased a dress cash from Truworths for R450.00, the slip was misplaced, the tags and the bar codes are intact, the dress has never been worn. I attempted to return the dress to the Truworths branch in Killarney. I explained my predicament to the manager Tumi Ramela, I advised her that I did not want the cash back and would accept a voucher or the opportunity to purchase another item at the same price of the dress or even a lower amount.
She was absolutely rude and informed me that their policy does not permit exchanges/returns without the receipt and perhaps if I had an account with them or had purchased it on account she could have helped.
Surely in this day and age there must be some recourse for a consumer, I am a cash paying customer and should not be prejudiced.
